Matthew Stabler Associate
Originally from St. Matthews, SC, Matt attended Wofford College, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government with a minor in English in 2007. He then attended the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he became a member of the South Carolina Law Review and earned CALI (formerly American Jurisprudence) Awards for Construction Law and Litigation, Appellate Advocacy, and Business Corporations. Matt also clerked at Bruner Powell throughout law school. After receiving his Juris Doctorate in 2010, he joined the firm as an associate.
Matt’s practice centers on commercial litigation, with an emphasis on construction, and professional malpractice defense. He is also apprenticing in the firm’s tradition of producing the best barbeque around.
Matt and his wife Bonnie, of Raleigh, NC, live in Columbia, and she is slowly being converted to a Gamecock fan. Both are members of Eastminster Presbyterian Church in Columbia. When not working in their yard, Matt is looking for something to do outdoors, whether it be fishing or hunting.
