A native of Indiantown, South Carolina, Leah attended Wofford College where she graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2004 with a B.A. degree in Intercultural Studies for Business. Leah then attended the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University where she received her Juris Doctor Degree in 2007.
Before becoming an associate at Bruner Powell, Leah clerked for the Honorable Clifton Newman where she gained invaluable experience participating in both civil and criminal trials. She also used her time as a Judicial Law Clerk to become a member of both the South Carolina and Georgia Bar.
Leah is married to Will Garland who is currently pursuing a Masters in Religious Studies at the University of South Carolina. She is an active member of Washington Street United Methodist Church where she volunteers with the Methodist Youth Fellowship.
